A Bit About Me
I was born in New York City but grew up in Manila, Philippines. I spent most of my life in there until I graduated from university (shoutout to psychology majors!) and then lived and worked in 9 different countries, namely: The Philippines, Poland, Spain, France, Brazil, Ireland, Singapore, USA, and Malta. I’ve been to almost 50 countries and I speak English, Filipino (Tagalog), Spanish, and some Mandarin. I have two masters degrees which are an M.A. and an M.S. in Industrial and Organization psychology and currently work in the technology industry at a fortune 500 company in a client facing role.
I do stand-up comedy on occasion and am a New York Cares volunteer as well as a proud mentor at Asian American Dream. I love Broadway shows, going to the opera, fine dining, taking random art classes anywhere in the world, volunteering, and pop music. Most importantly, I love the people I keep close and I love my life!
Despite loving my life, it has been very difficult in certain aspects. I am tan skinned and grew in a very racist community in a developing country with an alcoholic father that eventually left our family, and a mentally ill legally blind mother. I almost died in a 3-car road accident caused by a drunk driver which left me (temporarily) blind in one eye. I’m just scratching the surface here but I mention all of these not-as-nice things because I built this website with hopes that as I share my experiences (the good and the bad), I’ll be able to share something that helps you in some way – whether that’s by providing a light to read when you’re bored, teaching you something new, or making you feel less alone during a difficult time. Ultimately, my hope is that my posts will provide you with something positive for self-reflection, self-love, or just sheer enjoyment.
Welcome to my site, and I hope you enjoy it!

Halloween 2024, the year I finally got a costume that was not cat ears. (Just a ninja, but people kept asking if I was a character from Mortal Combat). Dragged to the halloween parade by @vignitivity who was Superman, if not obvious🤣.One to remember!

Finally got to the last post for Argentina!
Big things to be thankful for: Watching the whale migration, seeing the best opera house in the world, exploring the streets of BA, having amazing apartments with amazing views, but most importantly - the new (and old) friends along the way. Thanks to everyone who made this solo trip another one for the books! #Argentina2023 #solotripping #TeatroColon #buenosaires #solotripping #goodlife❤️
Patagonia part 2: Probably my favorite part of this trek. Getting to take a boat to see & touch some glaciers at the third largest freshwater reserve in the world. Though I was in Argentina, these glaciers span so far that they shared with Chile too and bordered by the Andes mountains. One of the few glaciers in the world that accumulates mass at a rate similar to its loss. Definitely a first and unforgettable experience for me! #Patagonia #solotripping #Argentina #glaciers #worldwonderstuff #🧊#🗻
Patagonia part 1: Took a trip to the lowest city on earth Ushuaia, which is a boat ride away from Antartica. Boarded a train to the end of the world (Fin del Mundo). Saw a national park, touched freezing water at a beautiful lake, explored a beaver dam, made some new friends, and marveled at this incredibly small piece of Patagonia. It`s an amazing feeling to embrace how nice it is to be so physically (and mentally) far away from everything you`ve known your whole life. One of my most peaceful moments in years. I can`t believe this was all on day one and that for so long, I had been afraid to come here by myself. Definitely felt safer here than I have in so many places - and more than worth the trip.

Been dying to visit Argentina for years, finally made it happen! Really emotional trip. Not only did I get to experience the city and visit a cool mine, but I also got to cross the border to Brazil and see Iguazú falls. The last time I was in Brazil, I almost died in a 3 person car accident caused by a drunk driver. Today, my neck is still kind of messed up and the blindspot caused by the rip in my eye will never disappear. But last month, I took a trip down there for the first time in 11 years since the accident. It was nerve wracking, but I had so much support to do it, just as I did back then. I never made it to the falls previously (GPS/mobile data wasn`t a big thing yet so it wasn`t ideal for a tiny solo female traveller like myself), and I finally got to see them up close, walk the bridge, and get water blasted in my face due to the force 👍🏽. Definitely an amazing natural world wonder. A great reminder for me that life always goes on, and so should we! Beyond grateful for the trip to these beautiful places, these beautiful people and for many more to come. ❤️ #BuenosAires #Iguacufalls #Brazil #crossingborders #2023
